Ken and Emily took another step in their relationship with their wedding at The Bordone in Long Island City.
On a beautiful spring day, Ken and Emily took a significant step in their relationship by exchanging their vows. Their journey began nearly a decade ago when they met through mutual friends in Connecticut. From the moment their paths crossed, destiny had its plans. As time went by, what started as a friendship blossomed into something truly special. Fast forward to a romantic proposal under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and here we are celebrating at their wedding. We at Universal Light and Sound were honored to be part of this occasion by providing exquisite Chandeliers.

Ken and Emily’s Bordone Wedding
Ken moved back to New York in early 2018, yet despite the distance, he and Emily kept in touch. It was during one of Emily’s work trips to New York in December 2018 when they really connected over drinks. They hit it off once again, cementing the foundation for what would eventually become an unbreakable bond. By May 2019, they officially became a couple—a testament to how love can transcend time and geography.

When Ken proposed on a memorable weekend trip to Paris in March 2024, it marked the beginning of something extraordinary. The excitement was palpable as plans for their dream wedding began taking shape. We knew our role would be crucial; creating the perfect ambiance was essential for such a milestone event.

Crystal Chandeliers Above The Dinner Tables
Our Crystal Chandeliers became the centerpiece of their reception room on The Bordone’s third floor. Installed under Alyssa Pettinato and her assistant Emma Trimmings‘ expert direction from Alinato Events, each chandelier reflected elegance and sophistication. Transitioning seamlessly with Isabel Medina García’s breathtaking drapery installation from A Lily Among Thorns Floral Design. Without a doubt, the room transformed into an enchanting wonderland fit for royalty.

Alyssa Pettinato From Alinato Events
Working with Alyssa Pettinato ensured that every detail aligned perfectly with Ken and Emily’s vision for their big day. We arrived punctually according to our schedule because we understand how important timing is during weddings. Our team set up swiftly without any hitches. As a result, everything was ready well ahead of time for guests arriving at The Bordone.

Spectacular Results
The result was nothing short of spectacular! Guests marveled at how beautifully all elements came together. From our Chandeliers casting a soft glow across tables adorned with delicate blooms, to drapes cascading gently overhead. Without question, all contributed towards crafting unforgettable memories, not just for Ken & Emily, but everyone present there too!
