At Universal Light and Sound, we enhanced RJ and Asha’s multicultural wedding at The Foundry with our lighting. Their love story, rooted in late-night chats and shared passions during optometry school, blossomed into a beautiful union celebrated by friends and family. Moreover, our team was thrilled to ensure that every moment of their special day shone brightly inside The Foundry and outdoors beneath the starry New York City sky.

Our journey with RJ and Asha began long before their wedding day. They met in optometry school, where they bonded over shared experiences. Through study sessions, late-night talks, and cherished moments after exams, their friendship deepened into something extraordinary. One pivotal memory involved a handwritten note from RJ tucked inside a gifted book for Asha. This thoughtful gesture sparked a tradition of exchanging books filled with notes—a symbol of their growing affection. As we planned their wedding lighting, we aimed to echo this sentimentality by creating an ambiance as unique as their love story.

Our team transformed the venue into an enchanting haven on the evening of their wedding at The Foundry. Inside the industrial-chic space adorned with vintage charm, our up-lights accented their reception room with a warm glow, complementing Asha’s South Indian vibrancy and RJ’s Italian elegance. Every detail was considered to reflect RJ and Asha’s cultural heritage while celebrating their individuality as a couple. Consequently, guests were enveloped in an atmosphere that felt both intimate and grand—perfectly capturing RJ and Asha’s essence.

In addition to illuminating The Foundry‘s interior, we extended our artistry outdoors beneath the pergola attached to The Foundry‘s Greenhouse. Unquestionably, our strings of light invited their guests to savor a beautiful NYC summer night under its soft luminescence. The transition from indoor festivities to outdoor relaxation was seamless due to our lights. Without a doubt, guests could enjoy an indoor and outdoor environment without leaving behind any part of the celebration’s magic.

The success of such an event relies heavily on coordination between vendors; thus, reliability was key throughout our collaboration with RJ and Asha’s other planners, who were involved in crafting this unforgettable day at The Foundry! Our open communication meant they never had concerns about lighting logistics—they could focus solely on enjoying each moment together, knowing everything would unfold perfectly according to the expectations outlined in earlier discussions before the ceremony took place!
