Summer weddings often bring to mind soft pastels and gentle breezes. However, Arden and Keith had a different vision for their Sunday celebration on August 31, 2025. They wanted bold energy and distinct style. Consequently, they transformed Rule of Thirds in Brooklyn into a vibrant canvas of joy.
Rule of Thirds is already a highly praised venue. Couples love it for its industrial-chic atmosphere and exceptional Japanese-inspired cuisine. Yet, Arden and Keith elevated this versatile space even further. They hosted a bright, colorful wedding that perfectly captured the spirit of late summer. By incorporating bold floral arrangements and specific lighting choices, they created a visual experience that guests won’t soon forget.

A Colorful Wedding Decor at Rule of Thirds
Arden and Keith did not shy away from color. In fact, they embraced it wholeheartedly. The couple curated a palette featuring fuchsia, turquoise, and sunny yellow to create a visually stunning atmosphere. These vibrant hues popped beautifully against the industrial backdrop of the venue.
Furthermore, these colors appeared throughout the bold floral arrangements. The flowers didn’t just sit on the tables; they announced that this was a celebration of happiness. Therefore, the entire event felt personalized and energetic, moving away from traditional wedding aesthetics to something uniquely theirs.

String Lights in the Corner Room
For the dinner service, the reception moved into the “Corner Room,” also known as the Corner Bar. Here, the lighting design played a crucial role in setting the mood. Typically, venues hang String Lights in a zigzag pattern. However, Arden and Keith chose a different approach. They arranged the String Lights in parallel lines across the ceiling.
This choice added visual dynamism to the room. The parallel lines created a sense of structure that complemented the venue’s industrial-chic aesthetic. Moreover, the warm white lighting provided a cozy, inviting glow above the dinner tables.
String Lights serve a dual purpose. First, they provide practical illumination for guests as they enjoy their meals. Second, they create a soft, romantic atmosphere. By installing these lights, the couple transformed the industrial space into an intimate environment. Consequently, the Corner Room felt warm and welcoming, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the culinary experience.

A Mirror Ball in The Atrium
After dinner, the energy shifted to The Atrium for dancing. To ensure the party atmosphere was perfect, Arden and Keith installed a large Mirror Ball at the edge of the dance floor. This wasn’t just a decoration; it was a focal point.
A Mirror Ball is a spherical object covered in tiny mirrors. When hit with light, it reflects beams in many directions. For this wedding, a motor spun the Mirror Ball while a pair of spotlights focused on it. As a result, reflected light beams danced across the walls and floor, creating a mesmerizing “glittering” effect.
This setup transformed the space from ordinary to extraordinary. The playful light patterns drew guests to the dance floor, making the environment irresistible for social gathering. Therefore, the Atrium became the heartbeat of the party, ensuring the night ended on a high, energetic note.
