Fall weddings in Brooklyn have a unique charm, and Bryan and Chris’s celebration was no exception. On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the couple hosted a spectacular event at Rule of Thirds. This venue, located in Greenpoint, is famous for its industrial-chic atmosphere and exceptional Japanese-inspired cuisine.

Bryan and Chris decided on a full buyout of the venue. Therefore, they were allowed to utilize multiple unique spaces within the restaurant. In fact, they used the “Corner Room” and the “Atrium” for their ceremony and dinner service. Later, the party moved to the “Main Restaurant” for dancing. Furthermore, by customizing the lighting in each area, they created a wedding that was visually stunning and deeply personal.
Creating Warmth at Rule of Thirds with Lights

For the first half of the evening, the goal was intimacy. The “Corner Room” and “Atrium” feature high ceilings and industrial textures. To soften the space, we installed warm white String Lights hanging overhead. In addition, we arranged these lights in a zigzag pattern across the ceiling. Also, warm white Up-Lights were used to provide a beautiful accent against the walls.

This lighting choice served two purposes. Not only did, the String Lights and the Up-Lights provided practical illumination for guests as they enjoyed their dinner. But also, the soft glow complemented the venue’s aesthetic perfectly. The warm white light certainly transformed the industrial space into a cozy, romantic environment. Consequently, the dinner felt intimate and inviting, setting a relaxed tone for the start of the night.
A High-Energy Dance Floor

Once dinner concluded, the vibe shifted dramatically. Bryan and Chris wanted the “Main Restaurant” area to feel like a true party. Therefore, we incorporated fuchsia LED tubes and Mirror Balls hanging directly above the dance floor into the design. The impact was immediate. The vibrant fuchsia light set a magical mood that encouraged guests to let loose. In addition, a cluster of Mirror Balls in different sizes added visual interest. Without a doubt, taking the party atmosphere to the next level. Instead of a standard reception, the room felt electric and fun. The fuchsia lights and Mirror Balls drew attention to the center of the room, making the dance floor the captivating focal point of the reception.
In addition, a single large Mirror Ball hung at the center of the arrangement. We aimed spotlights at it and used a motor to spin the ball. As a result, beams of light danced across the walls and floor. This created a mesmerizing “glittering” effect that dazzled the guests. The combination of the fuchsia LED tubes and the moving reflections turned the dance floor from ordinary to extraordinary.
