Warm White Up-Lighting at 99 Scott
Thursday, March 31, 2022 – Our lighting team helped make 99 Scott look amazing with a simple arrangement of Warm White Up-Lights placed along the perimeter walls of the main reception. It is not a secret that warm white up-lights provide a neutral accent along the perimeter walls of almost any reception room. Nonetheless, I am still amazed how our up-lights made such a massive contribution to the room’s beauty at this event.
The high ceilings at 99 Scott:
My first thoughts for this venue are that this space needs something additional hanging overhead. 99 Scott has a very high ceiling. As a result, I would typically suggest a combination of Up-lights along the perimeter walls and an additional form of lighting (or florals with spotlighting) hanging overhead. Moreover this space is also vast in size. Therefore it can easily feel empty without use of the open ceiling space.
More about the ceiling height:
I am not sure what the exact ceiling height is at 99 Scott. However, it is safe to say it is greater than 20ft in height. Similar to most venues with high ceilings this space can easily have an empty feeling without lights that occupies the available space overhead. Therefore, I would expect some form of overhead lighting would be required to add body to the overhead space, especially with 99 Scott’s vast size. Nonetheless, I still find it surprising how much different our Up-Lights on their own made with enhancing the beauty of the room at this event. Despite the ceiling height, it appears a simple application of up-lights made all the difference for this event,.
